Studio Etiquette

MVMT STUDIO reserves the right to terminate your membership without any form of compensation if you do not adhere to the studio's etiquette, causing property damage, disturbance, and danger to any instructor or individual in the studio. You will not be allowed to join in the class if you are under the influence of alcohol.

CONDUCT & RESPECT

  • You will not be allowed to join class past 10 minutes into class. A waitlister present at the studio will take the spot. Our warmup curriculum is designed by the instructor to align with the class content.

  • All bags must be kept in the changing room.

  • No food and drinks allowed.

  • We ask that you wait for your class/self-practice to start before utilising our apparatus. While waiting for your class to start, please do not disrupt the on-going class by speaking loudly.

  • No grip aids should be applied to our poles. All used apparatus must be sanitised after use.

  • No leaning on our mirrors.

  • No picking up of calls or engaging in text messages in class. Please excuse yourself to the changing area.

ATTIRE

  • Masks must be worn at all times.

  • No beaded accessory or jewellery such as rings, bracelets, dangly earrings etc. These will damage our apparatus and cause injury to you and your spotter.

  • Pole Sport: Proper workout attire and shorts

  • Aerials: Leggings compulsory. Long sleeves recommended.

  • Footwear: No outside shoes/heels allowed. Only dance heels for classes are allowed e.g. Pleasers, ballroom heels. You will be asked to remove your footwear if it is inappropriate or found to be damaging the studio's flooring.

  • We are a family-friendly studio so strictly no nudity allowed.

HYGIENE

  • No body lotions on the day of class.

  • Sanitise and wash your hands and feet with soap before class. This will get rid of germs, dirt, and body oils.

  • We encourage the use of deodorants and body wipes.

PHOTO & VIDEO TAKING

We ask that you respect the privacy of your instructors and classmates.

  • You are not allowed to take pictures/videos of your instructor during class unless the instructor allows.

  • Never share class videos of your instructor with others on any platform.

  • For safety and intellectual property rights, our syllabus and choreographies must not be taught to others outside of class.​​
